font-weight: 400;\">The first Lodge meeting was held on 25 December 1812 at the house of William Bell &#8211; known as &#8216;The Bell Inn&#8217; &#8211; at New Delph in the Parish of Saddleworth.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717af9e\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717afcd\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aabc\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aabe\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179d55\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179d8d\">At that meeting John Schofield was elected Master for 1813, Josiah Lawton, Senior Warden, and William Whitehead, Junior Warden.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717affb\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b02b\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aabf\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aac0\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179dc6\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179dfe\">The first initiate in the Lodge was James Kershaw who was admitted into Freemasonry on 20 January 1813.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b0b9\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b0e8\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aac3\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aac5\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179ea9\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179ee2\">Over the years, the Lodge has met in four separate premises.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b117\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b146\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aac6\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aac7\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179f1a\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7179f53\" style=\"font-size: 16px; text-transform: none;\">13 April 1881 to present<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee718a101\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7189e86\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee7187587\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b416\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b447\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aadb\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aadd\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717a2b5\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717a2f0\">The present Lodge building was built by members of the Lodge at a cost of \u00a3884 18s 10d and furnished at a cost of \u00a3129 12s 1d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b477\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717b4a8\" style=\"font-family: Raleway;\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aade\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717aadf\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717a32b\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15ee717a366\">In 1812 the number of members was 11.
